Address Book Viewer

The Address Book Viewer (abview32.exe) is a useful EDK tool to observe and modify properties of objects inside any MAPI address book. You can work with address book containers, distribution lists and individual message recipients. The executable may be found in the "bin" directory of your Platform SDK installation. The tool has an easy to understand graphical user interface.

Address Book Viewer is very helpful when you develop your own address book provider or interact heavily with MAPI address books. It gives you an easy graphical way for examining and modifying properties of address book items. A significant effort is usually required to accomplish such things programmatically. It would be a good idea for any MAPI or Exchange developer to get acquainted with this tool and use it where applicable.
