While researching Windows 2000 security issues I have found the following alternative sources of information helpful.

• Microsoft Developer Network Online Library located at http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp. This site is very rich with information about many Microsoft products and technologies. It also has a very useful search capability http://search.microsoft.com/us/dev/default.asp.
• Microsoft Platform SDK code samples. In regards to security sample code the following directory is the most interesting:

  Platform SDK Root\Samples\WinBase\Security

  Platform SDK is a collection of software usually installed on a development system. See the installation chapter for details ("Installing Windows 2000 Professional").
